This Cobb’s Hill Rochester engagement shoot was a dream! I spent the afternoon at Cobb’s Hill in Rochester New York photographing these two; and what an absolutely perfect day it was! Emily + Emma have a kind of love and passion for each other that is so perfectly captured through each photo. Just their fun-loving personalities and chemistry made the shoot one of my all time favorites! Cobb’s Hill in Rochester is a known spot for some of the most beautiful photos and I was beyond thrilled when Emily + Emma mentioned that this was one of their most desired spots. The park is located in the heart of Rochester. It offers some beautiful views of the Rochester city skyline, trails for walking, tons of facilities for recreation, and a beautiful reservoir.Â
Emily + Emma met at RIT, a college located in Rochester, New York. They both enjoyed sports and played on the same softball team for the college. Emma had developed a crush on Emily shortly after meeting her and the two spent some time creating a real best friend-like connection before they called it official. There was a little help from a drunk Jenga game night where Emily + Emma had their first kiss and it wasn’t long until they were officially a couple. Emma had asked Emily to be her girlfriend on top of a mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains (how amazing!) and the rest is history.
The session started as a fun pizza picnic in the park idea and ended with a dramatic shoot in some formal attire at MLK Park in Rochester. I enjoyed the diversity with Emily + Emma as it was so fun to really learn their personalities and get to experience their creativity and adventurous sides. They wanted to remember this photo shoot in the future as one that truly captured how genuine and intense the love that they had for each other truly was, and I think it did just that! Emily + Emma brought their daughter so we were able to get some beautiful family photos with the three of them- it absolutely melted my heart. The picnic shoot was very laid back, casual, and so much fun. We headed over to the Cobbs Hill Reservoir for a more formal session after Emily + Emma had a quick outfit change into a suit and dress. We shot some photos at the reservoir and to end the day, headed to MLK Park where we got some photos under the waterfall. I was speechless with how these turned out! They were beautiful!
This Cobb’s Hill Rochester Engagement Shoot was such a memorable shoot for me. Photographing Emily + Emma just reminded me of how genuine, passionate, and kind love can truly be. They made the day so fun with their bright personalities and it was an honor to have been able to share the day with them. I was thrilled when they asked me to shoot their wedding in the upcoming year. I truly love being able to meet couples and share the most important days of their lives with them. It makes me feel so good that they not only chose me to shoot their engagement photos but that they wanted me to be a part of their big day. It melts my heart being able to share these important moments with my couples.
