I want to start off by saying that this was one of my most anticipated weddings! I talked about Emily and Emma in another blog post when I had the opportunity to shoot their engagement photos. I was absolutely thrilled when they asked me if I wanted to be there for their special day- a million times yes! The Provincetown Inn Wedding was in the most beautiful oceanside town in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
Provincetown is located in the northernmost point of Cape Cod and the town is this quaint little beach town with the most beautiful views of the Atlantic. The Provincetown Inn Wedding started off with both Emily and Emma getting ready in their ocean-view suites; they both looked absolutely amazing and once they were finished we headed out for some first look photos. Both Emily + Emma’s dresses were such a unique style. They gave off a very bohemian, yet elegant style and I absolutely loved them. Emily + Emma took the time to read their vows to each other as more of an intimate and memorable moment for the two of them to have before their ceremony. We then got together with the wedding party and took photos all in the rose garden at the inn. The Provincetown Inn was hands down one of the prettiest wedding venues. There were tons of flowers throughout the venue, and overall it just gave off a very romantic and comfortable vibe. A little bit before the ceremony we noticed a small storm coming in and ended up needing to push the wedding back an hour, I figured what a great time to get some quick *epic* beach storm photos in with Emily + Emma before the storm actually hit. These two were SO adventurous the whole time. They just had such a positive attitude towards the change of plans, it was so refreshing. The shoot was such a fun experience too! The storm passed and we were ready to get these two married! The ceremony went smoothly, everyone was just full of joy and adoration for the two. My favorite part was when Emily and Emma planted a tree that represented their union, I thought that was such a cute idea and very them. The reception followed soon after and everyone celebrated the newlyweds. At sunset we were able to sneak out to the beach and we shot some of my favorite photos from the day. Both Emily + Emma have such a strong connection and love for each other and it truly shows. The Provincetown inn Wedding was by far one of my favorite weddings to shoot.
Emily + Emma have a love like no other. As soon as I met them I just knew how strong their love for each other truly was and how real their connection was. They are both such free-spirits and adventurous souls at heart. They both really do bring out the best in one another and they compliment the other so well. They met at college at RIT in Rochester, New York, where they both played on the same softball team. They became really great friends and eventually started to develop more of a relationship as the two just meshed so well together. Emma had taken an internship in Tennessee which meant both of them had to spend some time in a long distance relationship, but it worked for them! Emily would visit Emma and the two of them spent some time backpacking and exploring some National Parks during those visits. At this point the two were stronger than ever and very much inseparable.
The Provincetown Inn wedding was such a memorable wedding for me. It gave me the opportunity to travel and shoot a wedding for two of the sweetest people in the world. As soon as Emily + Emma reached out asking if I wanted to shoot their wedding I knew immediately that the answer was yes. When they told me it was a destination wedding, I was even more thrilled! Traveling is such a fun thing for me. I enjoy new surroundings, seeing new things and places, so I try to incorporate some destination weddings into my schedule each year. It’s something I truly love, so if you’re ever looking for a photographer that has no problem (I mean no problem!) traveling and shooting your destination wedding- I am here for you!
