Where do I even begin with this downtown Rochester couples shoot? While prepping for this session we had a vibe in mind, and oh baby did we nail it!! Punk, moody, fun, I knew just who to ask to model when putting the pieces together. Gabby and Alex had modeled with me before, they are so in love and it shows! This session was dreamed up for a mentee I had been working with, and I knew that G+A were the perfect pair for this fun learning experience! Nothing better than two lovebirds, a photographer who wants to expand her horizons, and an overcast Rochester day on top of a parking garage!

Gabby and Alex were the perfect fit for this session for many reasons. Being willing to roll with the punches for a shoot like this was crucial, as we were planning to practice queuing poses and taking our time learning along the way. Having a mentee learning during this shoot was so fun, but I knew it would require a bit more patience from the couple, which they had so much of! Gab + Alex are no stranger to PDA which isn’t always the case with some clients. We spent time following around on the skateboard, falling and laughing along the way. There is nothing sweeter than having two humans who are so willing to have fun and try new things alongside us photographers. Makes for a fun shoot, and some stellar photos!

I truly love being able to share knowledge and tips with fellow loves of keepsake photography! Such a humbling experience being able to mentor someone during a session. I take pride in the way I work with clients and my fun twist on things! This downtown Rochester couples shoot was the perfect way to showcase my talents, and share them with a fellow blossoming photographer! My best advice? Just go for it. Laugh more, work harder, be kinder, and above all else lean on your community! There is beauty in communication and questions, we are all in this together!!
