Bemus Point Engagement Session

I am going to be dreaming of Kate + Matt’s gorgeous Bemus Point engagement session for YEARS! Oh my goodness I will never get over the amount of ROMANCE that was in the air during our entire session!!!

Kate and Matt fell in love at first sight. While Kate was working at a movie theatre, Matt came in with a few of his friends and – BOOM – true love. After the movie, Kate’s co-worker threw some finger guns at Matt and gave him Kate’s number. The two started texting and went on a few dates, and the rest is history!!! Seriously the dreamiest love story ever, so freaking cute.

I met up with Kate and Matt for their Bemus Point engagement session on their 1 year anniversary! The date also just so happened to be their one month anniversary of being engaged – so obviously love was flowing in the air!!

We met up at Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua, which also just so happened to be where Matt proposed to Kate one month prior!! I always tell my couples to think of different ideas to make their engagement session feel as much as them as possible as well as incorporating sentimental ideas! Obviously the date and location that we chose to shoot their engagement session were both incredibly special! The couple also brought along different little props that represented aspects of their relationship!

We adventured down to a little secluded section of the park right next to where Matt popped the question!! We started off the session popping open a bottle of wine and goofing around in the beautiful golden hour sunshine. Afterwards, Matt broke out his guitar and started playing Kate their song while the sunset over the horizon. I was actually in tears – it was so freaking romantic. As if this moment couldn’t get any cuter, Matt also started teaching Kate how to play guitar! It was soooo sweet!

We ended our shoot having a little fun with some popcorn to represent where it all started – love at first sight in a movie theatre!!!

Kate + Matt, thank you so much for laughing the night away with me! The connection that you two have is pure magic. Our session gave me all the lovey feels! It was so beautiful being able to celebrate this important season of your relationship! Happy anniversary cuties <3
