Rochester NY City Hall Elopement
Katherine and Jonathan’s Rochester NY City Hall elopement was the perfect fall October morning in the Finger Lakes. After reading through their love story, I truly believe that these two fell in love at first sight. Katherine had just gotten out of a bad relationship. She was having fun at a Christmas party with her friends when she first laid eyes on Jonathan. She told me that she wasn’t looking for anything, but she could not stop looking at him and finally decided to make her way over to him to start a conversation. They told me that they have been obsessed with each other ever since and they have now been together for seven years!
These two were living in the heart of Downtown Rochester when Katherine reached out to me. She told me how her job was moving them to Philadelphia, and they wanted to get married in the city that they loved before they had to move. They decided that they wanted to get married at city hall, and have a been celebration later on once they were settled into their new home in Pennsylvania. So, we decided to go to three different locations that really represented the city of Rochester.
We met up bright and early at the Rochester Public Market on a foggy fall October morning. We adventured around the empty public market enjoying each other’s company. After that, we met up with one of their friends downtown who was able to give us access to a beautiful rooftop. Even though the sky was foggy and groggy, the views were freaking stunning. We decided to head over to the area of city hall and try to get some fun city shots. We had so much fun getting creative together and bouncing different ideas off of reach other. Katherine told me that she really wanted me to be able to capture the romantic moments between the two of them. Looking through these photos gives me all the feels, so I think I can confidently say that I was able to make her vision a reality!
After exploring the city, I walked the couple to city hall where they met up with their parents to get ready for their ceremony. They spent the rest of the day going to brunch and drinking champagne with their closest people. I loved getting to be apart of Katherine and Jonathan’s day, I left feeling like we were old friends. I even got to hang out with them at Katie and Peter’s Destination Cabo Wedding! Katherine and Jonathan’s Rochester NY city hall elopement was so amazing.
