Springtime in Rochester, New York is absolutely breathtaking. Highland Park is a very well-known park near downtown that offers so much to do and see, all while hosting the most beautiful spring flowers. Highland Park is where the Rochester, New York Annual Lilac Festival is held- a must do if ever you are in the area or live in Upstate New York.
This Highland Park Engagement Shoot was beyond beautiful. Highland Park was already full of lilacs, cherry blossoms, and soo many other beautiful flowers, that it just made the shoot all that much more beautiful- It even smelled amazing too! I met Danielle + Mike at the park and immediately just had a great feeling about the shoot. They both gave off such a kind-spirited and wholesome vibe. They even had their dog, Reggie with them as well!
Danielle + Mike met a few years ago while working together. They have built such a great life together, from moving back to Rochester, NY to be closer to family, purchasing their very first family home, and having their pup, Reggie. They wanted this shoot to really capture all that they have built, how far they have come, and everything that they must look forward to in the future, and I felt so lucky to be a part of that. Danielle + Mike were such a joy to work with. They both complemented one another so well and matched each other’s energies perfectly, which made my job so easy! This Highland Park Engagement Shoot was just such a laid-back shoot. We all were able to just relax, exchange stories together, laugh, and really make the most of the time together. My favorite part about being a photographer is getting to really connect with my couples. I handle shoots as if it is just a normal day hanging out with friends, all while I am there snapping photos and that was exactly what The Highland Park Springtime Engagement Shoot was about. My goal is to make it so my couples are as relaxed as possible, truly enjoying themselves, and feeling like their best selves. I want to really build that trust, friendship, and bond with my couples to encourage a shoot that is easy-going and a shoot where everyone leaves feeling like they had a really positive experience.
