This Hemlock Lake Engagement session was so light hearted and mellow. Erin and Pete met at a time where neither of them were looking for love, and it all unfolded so naturally. After their first date they spent many late nights on the phone that led into the early morning hours, how cute!! Erin, going to college in Syracuse at the time, would drive up to see Pete because they had such a strong connection. January 1st is when Pete spilled the beans and said I love you, it’s cute because they mark that as their dating anniversary! These two are so laid back, goofy, and truly care about each other so deeply. The amount we have in common is quite fun too.. they are getting married at the same wedding venue I did, on the same weekend at Double M Schuster Barn in Dansville!! Their love is truly timeless.Â
When deciding on a location for photos, I knew that a Hemlock Lake Engagement Session was perfect for what they were looking for! Each time I shoot at Hemlock Lake it feels a bit different and is unique to what you wish to utilize the area for. It is a minor Finger Lake, and is surrounded by peaceful land and welcoming areas to relax and explore. We met at golden hour for a picnic! Accompanied by pizza, beer, and their adorable dog Sam of course. Livingston County has many lovely areas for photoshoots, but there is something so special about having grassy fields, big woods, and a beautiful lake all in one spot.Â
Erin and Pete wanted photos to look back on and remember how happy in love they are for years to come. With each session comes wishes for me to fulfill, and I truly take time to make sure the entire session is personal and well thought out. Knowing that Sam their dog means the world to them, and the joy that the simplicity of their less hectic lives is right now, I knew a picnic date at Hemlock Lake was the perfect combo to make all their wishes come alive. I left this session with cheeks that hurt from laughing, and a heart that was so full from their kindness and pure love. Thank you Erin and Pete for being so lovely, can’t wait for the big day!!
