Elizabeth and Eric’s Chimney Bluffs State Park engagement shoot was one for the books. Not all love stories begin at first sight. In fact, Eric asked Elizabeth on countless dates before she was convinced to give it a shot. But, since then, the two have spent every day of the past five years together falling into the adventure of love with each other. Whether it be walking and playing with their four fur babies, working side by side at Eric’s parents’ restaurant, or fixing up their house on Sodus Bay, Eric and Elizabeth never fail to see the fun in the everyday tasks they share with one another. The sense of complete adoration and comfort this couple immerse themselves in is the only proof needed that persistence can make for the very best love stories.
Even five years into their relationship, Eric and Elizabeth still ensure they have one date night a week, many of which are spent exploring the stunning grounds of Chimney Bluffs State Park. The remote beauty of the park allowed us to wander along all of the couple’s favorite places—from a beautiful and rustic wooden bridge to the rock lined shore of the beach. Our shoot was punctuated with flurries of snow coming and going, adding even more of a fairytale feel to the wilderness of the location. Not only did the park provide a stunning backdrop to showcase Eric and Elizabeths’ love, but it also created an air of sentimentality that comes through in their photos.
Elizabeth and Eric were looking for a photoshoot to capture the fun and adventurous nature of their relationship, in a place that is home to so many fond memories throughout their relationship. Their Chimney Bluffs State Park engagement shoot was just that. Following these two as they waltzed with one another through their sacred ground, I was lucky enough to be able to put the fun-natured and consuming love that the two share into snapshots.
